http://www.djsounds.com/06/05/ushuaia-hotel-opening-2011
After two incredible, yet controversial summers behind them and after enticing Luciano and Sasha amongst others to run weekly parties on the beach, Ushuaia have now opened an entire hotel devoted to people who like to dance in the sun.
Unfortunately missing due to personal reasons, Cadenza grand queso Luciano handed the disco whip over to the more than capable Michel Cleis, Robert Dietz, Reboot and Ernesto Ferreyra who we speak to here.
Stay tuned for more coverage from this hedonistic hotbed.

DJ Blakey @ Musikmesse 2011
pioneerdjsounds さんが 2011/05/17 にアップロード
http://www.djsounds.com/05/14/dj-blakey-musikmesse-2011
At this year's Musikmesse in Frankfurt Germany, we launched our DJM-T1 mixer, specifically tailored for Traktor but it was Blakey who stole the show with an inspired performance on the recently launched DDJ-S1 controller, designed specifically with Serato in mind.
Watch Blakey as he cuts his way through Daft Punk/Kanye West, House of Pain and Billie Jean, taking full advantage of the super-tight integration with Serato. The five hot-cues allow Blakey to jump around accapellas with ease, not to mention browsing tracks directly from the controller.
Each day there was a prize draw where visitors could fill in a form in return for a wrist band with a number on. At 4.30pm each day, hosts Marco & Maui would pick winners from the pot who's wristband matched the number on the selected winning ticket. Lucky winners could walk away with anything from a pair of HDJ-500s to a DJM-350!

Point Blank DJ School
pioneerdjsounds さんが 2011/05/16 にアップロード
http://www.djsounds.com/05/08/point-blank-dj-school
DJing used to be about learning from your older brother's friends in their bedroom or from standing behind the DJ Booth in your local club trying to work out how they sync those repetitive beats; not anymore! A wealth of "DJ schools" have become established over the last ten years, Point Blank in North London is arguably the most well known.
DJsounds was shown around the many studios by Ben Bristow, who explained that alongside their DJ courses Point Blank also runs courses in Radio, Singing & Songwriting, Sound Engineering and Recording to name a few. Today though he explained in detail about their two, 2-day DJ crash-courses: Basic and Advanced as well as a full Pioneer DJ course.
David McHugh, College Manager at Point Blank explains how the school is changing, particularly with the introduction of online learning.
All music that appears in the clip is produced by Point Blank students!

Known to his friends as Iason, Dutchman Mason chats in the garden of The Vibe Bar in Brick Lane, London to DJsounds about his new album "They are among us" and the myriad of guest artists that he has collaborated with. Roisin Murphy, Aqualung, and Run DMC all perform on the long-player, excerpts of which can be heard in the background here.
In the clip Mason plays the Bar at the Ministry of Sound for The Gallery, launching his album in the UK. This was a DJ set where Iason played on the CDJ-2000s but he has a huge live tour planned with the other half of Mason - Coen Berrier to support the album with all the normal synced up audio and visuals plus a gigantic monkey!
You thought it, we asked it... life after his 2006 global hit Exceeder....

Rik showed Wally the DJM-900 nexus and guess which effect Wally loves the most?! Stay tuned for more from Wally this summer as he returns once again to the terrace at Space in Ibiza.

http://www.djsounds.com/04/17/miami-2011-dennis-ferrer
Producer of global smash "Hey Hey", head of Objectivity recordings, signed to Defected with a keen eye for white hot fresh talent like the Martinez Brothers, Dennis Ferrer is a heavy-weight.
He played mid afternoon at the DJmag Party at The Shelborne in Miami and then snuck up into our Pioneer condo to see how he could run Traktor through the DJM-900 nexus using just one USB lead! The DJM-900 nexus faders, knobs and switches can then be assigned in Traktor to control the internal effects. Building on the creative options this offered, he then marvelled at the new Color FX such as Space, Dub Echo and White Noise.

Your DJsounds - Daniel Felten
pioneerdjsounds | 2011/04/08
http://www.djsounds.com/03/21/your-djsounds-daniel-felten
We liked this clip because it showed Daniel rocking his bedroom on his brand new CDJ-850s and getting stuck into the FX on the DJM-700. Yes the mixing could be tighter but we liked Daniel's enthusiasm to not only record the mix but send it in to us, despite being quite new to the decks.
