Ever wish you were a fly on the wall when your favorite bands were recording their greatest albums? Jay Messina was a bit more than a proverbial fly. In fact, he was an active participant and essential ingredient on some of the most legendary records ever recorded, including Kiss's Destroyer, Cheap Trick at Budokan, Lou Reed's Berlin and a whopping eight albums by Aerosmith, including Rocks, Toys in the Attic and Get Your Wings.

Now in his fifth decade as an engineer and producer, Messina looks back on some of the landmark moments of his career.
